Esty Skin Studio was born from a simple but powerful observation: skin thrives when it is treated with intention, freshness, and respect for its natural intelligence.
As a licensed esthetician and founder, I created Esty Skin Studio after years of working with professional skincare products that promised results—but often delivered irritation, inflammation, and confusion. Lab created creams with long ingredient lists became the industry standard, yet many of us had no real understanding of what we were putting on our skin or how long those products had been sitting before reaching our face.
I knew there had to be another way.
My Approach
For over 10 years, Esty Skin Studio operated as a working apothecary-style facial studio. Each treatment was guided by the belief that freshness matters. Raw, plant based ingredients were compounded intentionally in real time—using herbs, clays, and botanicals chosen for the individual needs of the skin.
What I witnessed over that decade reshaped how I define effective skincare.
Clients were not leaving with blotchy, tender, or reactive skin, an experience many associate with facials. Instead, skin was calm, nourished, and visibly balanced. Time after time, I saw how living ingredients supported the skin’s natural ability to restore itself when given the right conditions.
The treatment room became my evolving laboratory of herbs, clays and essential oils.

Thousands of facials offered something no textbook or trend ever could: lived experience.
Through repetition, observation, and care, I learned which ingredients consistently support all skin types—and which ones disrupt the skin barrier, even when marketed as “advanced” or “clinical.”
As someone with extremely sensitive and reactive skin myself, formulation was never theoretical. Every choice had to be made with discernment, restraint, and respect. The practices developed at Esty Skin Studio were shaped not only by professional results, but by personal necessity.
